Yes, it’s true!

The Berry tree bronze bonus pool did decrease this month by about $30. The January bonus pool share was worth $92, and February’s proved to be about $61. Now, as many of you probably already guessed, this decrease has people concerned and asking questions. I’ve even noticed a few minor panic episodes within forum communities.

If you’re part of the crowd that’s demanding to know “what’s going on?!” –
Don’t worry. You don’t really have any reason to panic. And here is why:

— — —

The Corporate Advertising Campaign just kicked in during February

As previously mentioned in other articles, the bonus pools take a certain amount of dollars- from $1 to 2.50 depending on the pool- from each individual full member in the Berry Tree. The total amount is then equally divided and dispersed among all members who qualify for that specific pool.

Therefore, this means that as more people qualify for the Bronze Pool, the shares will become smaller as more people join…UNLESS more members are constantly joining. That’s the simple math of the system.

— — —

“What does this have to do with the corporate advertising?”

At the beginning of this month, February of 2008, the company just initiated its campaign to advertise the Berry Tree and its free trial offer across the internet. It has been relatively successful so far and brought in 60-100 new people every day. However, the Berry Tree leaders intend for this campaign to eventually bring in 150 people per day, and potentially even more down the road.

As the company stands now, many people who initially joined the program when it was launched one year ago and have been slowly accumulating berry member credits (BMCs) are qualifying for the Bronze Pool for the first time. Since it only takes 20 months of loyalty to the Berry Tree- and only 12-15 months when you have an active Automatic Builder autoship- to earn 10 credits and thus qualify for the Bronze Pool, you’re going to see many new qualifiers over the course of the next couple months.

Is this something to worry about? No. It is true that the bronze pool took a hit this past month, and it may be rather slow to rise during the course of the next couple months due to the large wave of new bronze pool qualifiers. However, the advertising campaign is decided to catch up to this increasing rate of change and balance the numbers in our favor.

— — —

It’s not going to happen overnight…

It will take time to “balance the scale.” As I said earlier, we may have to endure a couple months of lower bronze pool shares in the $60-80 range. But, I believe the founders when they said their goal was to attempt to raise the Bronze pool levels to $150 or more.

So, if I had to summarize my recommendation to everyone worried about the current bonus pool drop in 25 words of less, here you go:

“Give it time. The bonus pools may not be worth gold right now, but eventually you’ll see an impressive increase.”

Well, here’s some good news for all current and future Berry Tree members.

The recent Nutronix conference call discussed the current rate of daily sign-ups and future projections. It seems that Berry Tree expansion efforts are moving a little faster than many of us anticipated!

Where are we NOW?

Thanks to the corporate advertising campaigns, about 50 people are signing up to the Berry Tree every day. And, that rate is expected to increase very quickly…

Where will we be in about 2 WEEKS?

According to the recent conference call, Berry tree leaders project that daily sign-up numbers could reach about 150 new members within 10 days or so. That’s a very exciting level, and it would allow this program to take off like a jet.

Where can we expect to be in the LONG-RUN?

The future goal is to average around 300 new members per day in the Berry Tree. I’m not entirely sure how long that will take. If things go according to plan, this could happen within a couple of months. It could potentially take a year or more. We’ll just have to see the overall effects of the marketing campaigns at the end of February before making that specific projection.

— — —

One final encouraging fact mentioned on the call:
Berry Tree $4.95 trials currently have a conversion rate of approximately 50%. That’s not a bad rate, folks. This should also give more leverage to BSU leads.

Well, after hearing results like this, I know I’m excited for the monthly reports following February. How about you?

I think almost everyone familiar with the Berry Tree and its compensation plan would agree that the Berry Member Credit program within the BT business opportunity is potentially one of the greatest advantages out there in this industry. I know I’ve studied several MLM payplans and I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

— — —

For those unfamiliar with berry member credits (BMCs), here’s a brief overview —

Each time you remain loyal to the Berry Tree and your monthly autoships for a 2 month period, you receive 1 credit. In fact, you actually receive one half of a credit in your account each month. You also receive the equivalency of 1 BMC each month for each direct referral you bring into the berry tree that continues his/her autoship.

So, for example, if you have been in the berry tree for 4 months and you have referred 3 people, you would have 5 (2 + 3) BMCs for the current month.

What makes the BMC system so great? The bonus pools of course! Once you have 10 BMCs, you qualify to receive a “Bronze Bonus Pool” share worth $90, and increasing…

— — —

So, since you can earn money by doing nothing more than exercising some patience, you might as well just sit still and wait until you have 10 BMCs, right?

WRONG!

And for 2 main reasons…

— — —

1.) There’s a lot of potential money to be made in the Berry Tree!

Referring other people to the Berry Tree and building a line of customers through your BT business should be a priority! After all, you not only accumulate credits, but you also earn a residual income on your first three levels of sponsorship- $7.00, $4.00, and $2.00 respectively. Also, let’s not forget the simple mathematics of the situation: As you build your business, your BMC value will grow and qualify you for additional pools and more bonuses at a faster rate.

There are people in this business that were able to generate well over $1,000 during their first month. How? They worked it and made daily efforts to build their team. Now, I’m not saying you can’t necessarily just enjoy the product or be satisifed with your bi-monthly BMCs- if that’s what you wish to do, that is absolutely fine. But I’m finding that a lot of people out there join the Berry Tree and become impatient accumulating their credits. In order to earn more money, all they need to do is start treating their Berry Tree membership like as business as opposed to a simple “investment.”

— — —

2.) The “sit and wait” method takes a while…

It’s no secret! If you do not plan to build the business and you simply wish to wait until you accumulate enough BMCs to qualify for the Bronze pool, it will take you exactly 20 months.

Now, I personally would have no problem waiting 20 months, paying $55.95 each month for a useful product in order to eventually start receiving $100-150 back as a monthly bonus. But to many, I’m sure 20 months would seem like an eternity! So, for that matter, I would say- Why not attempt to build the business in the process and potentially generate some extra income while you’re waiting for your personal BMC Bronze Pool qualification?

If you’re dedicated to wait out the 20 months, the worst that could happen is that you discover at the end of 20 months, you were unable to directly refer anyone to the business. And, yes- that’s the worst that could happen! In the end, what would it really matter? You would still qualify for monthly bonus pool payments!

— — —

This is not to attempt to criticize the current BT members that apply the “sit and wait” method. It’s simply a quick encouragement to say- “Why not give the MLM side of the Berry Tree a shot, if you haven’t already?”

Remember: The extra rewards are great, if you’re willing to build!

It’s that special time of the month again, in which hard working Berry Tree members and affiliates are rewarded with their monthly commission. And part of the joy that comes along with that commission is the shares from the bonus pools. Here are the reports for bonus pool shares last month:

Bronze Bonus Pool $92.91
Silver Bonus Pool — $53.64
Gold Bonus Pool — $244.87
Regional Bonus Pool — $61.75
National Bonus Pool — $89.87
International Bonus Pool — $206.05

And, if you had qualified for all six of those pools, you would have earned a total of $749.09, in addition to your monthly residual check. And this does not even account for the large, leader’s pools, such as 1 Star, 2 Star, etc; all the way to “Diamond.”

For a long period of time, several members were disappointed because the bronze and silver pools were decreasing in value each month. One month it was even as low as $35. However, it appears the pools are on a rise once again, after this recent report.

Here’s some even more good news: The Berry Tree is going to begin it’s mass advertising campaigns very soon; supposedly either before the end of January or by some time in February. This is the exciting development that people have been anticipating for a while now. As the Berry Tree is featured on television and other media, the company will begin to develop a larger presence across the world. That means more people will begin to join us at an exponential rate. And THAT means that current, individual Berry Tree members will see more spillover in their tree levels and the bonus pools will continue to grow larger.

How much larger?

Well, that’s a good question! I’ve been reading a lot of different opinions and predictions about “just how large” the bonus pools are going to become within the next couple of months. A recent update claimed the Bronze Pool alone could reach levels of $200-300 per share, which would be an absolutely remarkable accomplishment. The majority of individuals who I’ve seen posting and talking about their predictions for bonus pool growth tend to believe that $150-200 for this particular pool is a more realistic expectation.

But, only time will tell. This all depends on (1.) the timing of the corporate advertising, and (2.) the effectiveness of the campaign.

I don’t mean to sound too cliche when I say this, but: “It’s going to be an interesting Winter.” 😉

Nutronix and the Berry Tree have just announced a new marketing option specifically available for Berry Tree Members. You can now purchase “Berry Sign-Ups” (BSUs).

What is a BSU?

BSUs are previous leads that have already shown an interest in the Berry Tree product and business opportunity. They have already signed up for the $4.95 trial offer, and company testing estimates that approximately 50% of BSUs will eventually sign up for the full membership.

If a BSU completes the enrollment to become a full member at the price of $54.95 per month, you are entitled to receive the $27.00 Fast Start Bonus, along with the equivalency of 1 berry member credit (BMC) for each month the member stays enrolled and continues his autoship. However, you do not qualify to receive the monthly residual income of $7.00, 4.00, or 2.00 (depending on the 3 levels), as your normally would if you originaly recruited your own BT members.

Cost of BSUs

Each BSU costs exactly $111. They are sold in packages of 3 BSUs for $333, or 5 BSUs for $555.

— — —

PROS:

These leads are pre-qualified and will automatically be set to upgrade their membership, unless they specifically cancel. In this situation, you would earn a one-time $27.00 back through Fast Start, which helps cover the overall cost. Since you also receive a Berry Member Credit (BMC) for each member, buying multiple packages of BSUs can significantly decrease the amount of time it takes you to qualify for the Bonus Pools, such as the Bronze Pool, Silver Pool, etc.

BSUs are initially sponsored by the company and converted into spillover for the entire community. As you buy and personally sponsor more BSUs, more individuals will receive spillover in their own trees. Therefore, even those who do not purchase BSU packages will benefit.

CONS:

If you sign-up a BSU, you do not receive the normal residual income, because the member was originally placed as spillover in another individual’s tree. Based on common MLM principles, monthly commisionable payments are the well-earned rewards for distributors. I say “well-earned” because a distributor is responsible for training his referrals and assisting their growth and promotions on a monthly basis. Therefore, when purchasing BSUs, you are immediately faced with a commission penalty.

There is also absolutely NO guarantee that the BSU will upgrade his/her membership, which could result in an immediate loss of $111. It is also worth noting that the majority of people who join MLM programs are tire kickers; i.e. people who are willing to do little to no work in order to develop their business. These people assume MLM is some kind of “get-rich-quick” magic program, and when they discover that MLM takes time, diligence, and effort, they drop out within 3-6 months. If your previous BSU drops out, you will lose your BMC.

— — —
My Personal Opinion:

I certainly don’t mean to sound like “Captain Negative,” but I’m not very impressed with the overall value of the BSUs when compared with their unit price.

I’m not excited about paying for the right to potentially train and support a member, while enduring a commission penalty. Also, $333 (minimum) is a large sum of money for most individuals. When you consider the fact that the vast majority of BSUs will either fail to upgrade or eventually drop out and forfeit your future BMCs, the cost of $111 per Berry Sign-up appears to be a rather steep Price-Tag.

I feel that $50-60 per BSU would prove to be a much more reasonable price range.

For those considering BSUs-

This is only my “opinion.” We all have the right to decide how we want to market this opportunity, whether we choose BSUs, GTTs, or another means. I believe I can use $111 to market much more efficiently than the average predicted reward that would result from purchasing these BSUs. Others may feel differently, each according to their own experience and abilities.

If you view BSUs as an attractive method to build your business, then by all means, feel free to give them a shot. For those that choose to use BSUs during January or sometime else in the near future, I wish you the best.

More information about BSUs is available here: http://automaticbuilder.com/bsu/

I would be very interested in reading others feelings and experiences regarding the BSUs. Please feel free to comment below!
